Magdalena Lumod Alturas-Dejaresco

Magdalena Lumod Alturas-Dejaresco, aged 66 of College Point, New York, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Magdalena is a beloved wife of Luis Antonio Dejaresco; much loved mother of Kathlynn and Brian Mcdonald; grandmother of Emma and dear sister of Romeo & Agnes Alturas, Bernardito & Meldy Alturas.

She graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Bohol Provincial Hospital School of Nursing. She migrated to the United States in 1985. She worked as a Registered Nurse for New York Presbyterian – Queens Hospital for 32 years before retiring. She loves to cook, bake and travel, making good memories.

Visitation will be held on October 14, Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and October 15, Friday, from 11:30am to 3:30pm at N F Walker of Queens Funeral Home, 8734 80th St., Woodhaven, NY 11421.

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 16, 10:00am at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 175-20 74th Ave., Fresh Meadows, NY 11366.

Additional funeral service will take place at Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines under the professional service of Funeraria Gomez Udtohan. Interment will be held at Roman Catholic Cemetery – Dampas District, Tagbilaran City at a later date.
