Jefferson Reyes Cartano, 47 of Livingston, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2020. Born in Cebu, Philippines to Noemi Reyes and to the late Zosimo Cartano.
Jefferson attended University of Pennsylvania for BSE, Double Major – Electrical Engineering & Bioengineering, he completed his bachelor’s in 1995 as Cum Laude. Following graduation, he continued with his Master of Science – Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University and completed the Masters Degree within a year. Jefferson was currently a Ph.D candidate in engineering communication at the University of the Philippines, taking courses online and on-campus during summer semester.
Jefferson was employed with County College of Morris as a Professor of Physics and Engineering for the past 10 years. He is known as “Professor Cartano” and loved by his students. He is very motivational and encouraging to his students. He cares so much about his students and will go above and beyond to help them.
He is the beloved husband of Maria Christina, cherished father of Rocco Jefferson, and a loving brother of Noemi Vanessa, Oliver Zosimo and James Voltes.
He will surely be missed by his family, friends and students.
Private Cremation will take place at Rosedale Crematory, Orange, NJ. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 63 Franklin St., Belleville at 10:30 a.m.
