Florita Reyes Laquindanum

Florita Reyes Laquindanum, known as Apo Flory or Popit entered eternal rest on March 27, 2023, at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. She was born to Leocadio Reyes and Rufina Silva on January 21,1953 in Macabebe, Pampanga, Philippines. She graduated at Pampanga Colleges with Bachelor of Science in Education. She worked at Automated Pharmaceutical Services (APS Pharmacy) for 14 years as Pharmacy Technician.

Flory was loved by every person she met or encountered. Her loving smile and contagious laugh could fill up an entire room. There was never a moment where she was mad or upset- rather she made it her purpose to spread joy and happiness to all. Whether she was buying her grandchildren presents or helping underprivileged kids in the Philippines, she was always giving, a selfless soul. Her presence will be missed, but the impact she left on her children, grandchildren, nieces/nephews, daughters-in-law, and great-grandchildren will never be forgotten. She has planted the gift of empathy and unconditional love in each of her loved ones: which is priceless. Even in her last days, her priority and main concern were her family. We know that there will never be another person like Florita again: humble, loving, thoughtful, and selfless. She will be missed dearly, and the love she gave us will last a lifetime. 

She is survived by her husband, Alberto Laquindanum and her children; Michael (Diane), Arnaiz (Sheryl), Sherwin (Ingrid) and Melanie. A proud grandmother of Kyle, Khalil, Kalib, Kyrie, Shanne, Andrey, Stephen, James (Andrea), Ethan, Chloe and a beloved great grandmother of Ayla.

She is a loving sister to Fernanda Reyes, Helen Calderon, Adoracion Henson, Nenita Ragojo, Ederlinda Odi, Angelita Gutierrez and the late Carlito Reyes and Renato Reyes.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, LLC – 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003. ( Additional parking located along Broughton Ave.)

Cremation will be held privately.
