Eulogio Alviar Pulido

We are deeply saddened to share with you the news of the passing of Eulogio "Yoyong" Alviar-Pulido, on April 13, 2024. Tatay Yoyong peacefully departed at the age of 74 in Oradell, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 21, 1950 in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines to the late Benjamin Pulido and Pelagia Alviar.

Tatay Yoyong, known for his warmth and kindness, is survived by his daughters Yolyn, Lenie, Julie, Joy, his sons-in-law Jasper, Ian, GL, and his cherished grandchildren Alecs, Ianne, Julia, Jay, Jon, and Gayle. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife, Evelyn.

Moving to the US in 2014, Tatay Yoyong resided with his daughters Yolyn and Lenie, and son-in-law Jasper. His dedication to family was paramount, evident in his visits to Canada to see his daughter Joy, son-in-law GL, and grandchildren. This year, he spent precious moments with his daughter Julie, son-in-law Ian, and grandchildren, Ianne and Julia, during their US visit. Tatay Yoyong’s legacy includes his humor, culinary prowess, and captivating storytelling. A devoted father, protector, mentor, and role model, his impact on our lives is immeasurable.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 (5am to 9am PH time April 17, 2024) at Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey – 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

All are invited to meet at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for a funeral mass at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church at 120 Prospect Street, Nutley NJ.

Tatay Yoyong’s remains will be cremated privately thereafter.
