Ernesto Navarro Formoso

Ernesto Navarro Formoso, age 75 passed away on September 9, 2022 at Mountainside Hospital, Glenridge. A resident of Bloomfield, New Jersey. Ernesto was born in Bangued, Abra, Philippines on November 25, 1946 to Florencio Formoso and Flora Navarro.

Ernesto attended University of the East in Manila where he received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce. He migrated to the United States in 1993 and worked for Newark Extended Care Facility as a dietary technician before retiring in 2001. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Bloomfield.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Miriam Alera; a loving father of Cyrus (Joyce), Billy Ray, Drexel; and a proud grandfather of Gabriel Aaron, a brother to Bernardita Apolinar, Amante, Leo and Claudette Bacay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will surely be missed by his relatives and friends.

The family welcomes you to join us in celebration of Ernesto’s life with the visitation being held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at  Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, LLC. 44 Bay Avenue Bloomfield, New Jersey. (Additional parking along Broughton Avenue).

All are invited to meet at the Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. for funeral mass on Saturday, September 17, 2022, 9:45 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 76 Broad Street Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003.

Cremation will be held privately.
