Dionisio II Guevara Obituary

Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Innovative Genius are the best descriptions of Dionisio ll “Jun” Guevara . Born in Toledo City, Cebu, Philippines on January 14, 1969 to the late Dionisio Guevara and Lilia Docena. He attended School in Don Bosco, San Beda, La Salle University with a degree in Computer Engineering. Jun led an interesting life, to say the least, that took him all over the world as a computer electronics and communication expert.

Jun passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, New Jersey with his wife of 22 years, Sarah Jane Raquel at his side. Jun and Sarah were best friends for 10 years before their marriage but with frequent deployments with the Department of Defense as a Foreign National soldier, it took those 10 years to find an open window of time for them to marry. Even after marriage, his work took him away from home, where in reality, they have only had 2 years together full time.

Quick witted, engaging, laughing and dreaming big is how all of his family and friends will remember Jun. He was always the life of the party while caring deeply for his family and friends to make sure they were all taken care of and had what they needed. He was a giving man and rarely ever said “NO” to requests to engage in snow skiing, jet skiing, traveling or simply going to the data center to work on servers. Jun loved to sing and play guitar when he had a chance to relax. He was passionate about everything he did in life and always took care of others before himself.

Dionisio Guevarra is survived by his wife Sarah, daughter Kyla Yzabelle Dune, Siblings are Felizardo Guevara, Imelda Guevara, Rita Guevara, Manuel Guevara, Alonzo Guevara, Sorina Guevara, Aura Guevara & Sami Guevara, Cora Guevara, Cristina Guevara, Tito Guevara and in laws Emily Jane Raquel Martinez, Betty Jane Raquel Gray, Sherwin Raquel and Ingritt Joy Raquel Moralde and families.

Jun spent 5 years serving the United States of America as a Foreign National working for the Department of Defense building communication systems in the middle of war zones in the Iraq Gulf war. He was highly specialized in telecommunication and satellite communication systems and worked to secure confidential information in Iraq and worked in computer technology in Saudi Arabia for 12 years. He received the highest award as a Foreign National Citizen from our US Military while at the Baghdad Hotel as it was under attack. Jun was able to get helmets and vests to our soldiers while they were being attacked and saved many lives. He was an underwater welder, medic, scuba instructor, satellite engineer and educated others on advanced communications.

In the last few years, Jun has served as the Chief Technology Officer for Communication Unites Everyone Inc (CUE) where he designed and built the technical plan for CUE to deliver Television, Internet, Mobile Phone, Security Systems and Manufacturing capabilities for the company. CUE Foundation will dedicate their business model to the name of “Dionisio ll D. Guevara” as the namesake of the foundation. Mr. Guevara accomplished many successful business ventures in innovative electronics, manufacturing design and communication systems that are designed as “next generation” systems. CUE will miss his leadership on the Board of Directors and as the CTO of the company.
