Dionisio Perez Zacarias

Dionisio Perez Zacarias, 79, of Sparkill, New York, passed away on August 16, 2021 at Nyack Hospital.

He was born to parents, Deogracias Zacarias and Flora Perez on October 9, 1941 in Bayambang, Pangasinan, Philippines. Dionisio graduated from Asian School of Radiology in Manila, Philippines and received a Bachelors degree in Radiology Technology. He moved to United States 39 years ago from the Philippines and start a new chapter of his life. He is an active member of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tappan, New York.

He married Lolita, the love of his life in 1978, who survives him. Dionisio is also survived by his son, Dione Keith Zacarias, as well as his loving sister, Ancing Flores. He was predeceased by his parents, Deogracias Zacarias and Flora Perez; and his siblings Sixto Zacarias, Perla Junio, Lani Zacarias and Mercedes Zacarias.

Dionisio was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. He was known for his jokes and being selfless. He loves to cook, reading newspapers, watching news and scratching lottery tickets.

Anyone who knew Dionisio was touched by his kindness and humor. He was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity and happiness. He will surely be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23rd from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Joseph W Sorce Funeral Home, 728 W Nyack Road, West Nyack, New York. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, August 24th, gathering at the Funeral Home (Joseph W Sorce Funeral Home, 728 W Nyack Road, West Nyack, New York) at 9:00am. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Highway, Tappan, New York. Interment will take place at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, New York.
