Consolacion Sapon Ancheta

Consolacion Sapon Ancheta best known as Connie to friends and family of Elmhurst, New York passed away on August 28, 2023 at Elmhurst Hospital at the age of 75. She was born March 8, 1948 in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines to Gonzalo Ancheta and Ma. Consolacion Sapon.

Connie moved to the United States 50 years ago from the Philippines. She worked as a housekeeper and day care provider for 45 years before retiring. 

She is survived by her children, Ramon Ancheta Sunga (wife: Geraldine Buadilla Sunga) and Maria Cecilia Sunga Dela Cruz (husband: Edwig Roan Dela Cruz); a sister of Cesar Sapon Ancheta, Carmelita Sapon Ancheta, Eduardo Sapon Ancheta, Florencio Sapon Ancheta, Elma Guadilla Ancheta, Maria Roodal and Chita Guadilla Ancheta; a grandmother of Monthy Christopher Mateo Sunga, Aprille Mongie Buadilla Sunga, Connielhen Buadilla Sunga, Steven Leonard Buadilla Sunga, Jolina Mae Buadilla Sunga, Raymond Gerald Buadilla Sunga, Ace Monrock Buadilla Sunga, Sebinah Buadilla Sunga, Leonardo Buadilla Sunga III, Kevin Daryll Sunga Dela Cruz, Kristopher Danielle Sunga Dela Cruz, John Angelo Bartulome Sunga, Jenny Rose Torres Sunga and Jayvee Mejares Sunga; great grandmother of Joaquin Christopher Ventura Sunga, Jacob Christian Ventura Sunga, Art Christine Sunga Orense, Rica Taliyah Sunga Orense, Stacy Kendy Bacsal Dela Cruz, Shakira Keandra Bacsal Dela Cruz, Saniella Kendryll Bacsal Dela Cruz and Casimir Zaxton Pandin Dela Cruz

She was predeceased by her son Leonardo Ancheta Sunga Jr and her siblings, Romula Sapon Ancheta, Alfredo Sapon Ancheta, Maria Lourdes Sapon Ancheta, Marcelito Sapon Ancheta, Roberto Guadilla Ancheta, Ricardo Ancheta, Bonnie Guadilla Ancheta and Editha Guadilla Ancheta.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at N F Walker of Queens Funeral Home - 8734 80th Street, Queens, NY.

Additional funeral service will take place in Bacoor City, Cavite, Philippines by Zuasola Funeral Homes of San Pablo City, Philippines under the professional care of Funeraria Samson Inc. Interment will take place at Sgt. Mariano Cemetery, Pasay City at a later date.
