Arch. Angel Etok Doria Obituary (1954

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Arch. Angel Doria, known affectionately as 'Papa Dong' by his beloved family. He peacefully joined our Creator on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was 69 years old. Angel is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nilda, and together they raised 4 children: Abbie (Christopher), Gian (Pia), Luckie (Eric), and Gabriel. He also leaves behind 7 wonderful grandchildren: Jamie, Jacob, Gavin, Sean, Sebastien, Eliana, and Lorenzo. Among his siblings are Tess Reyes, Marjorie Nepomuceno, Salvador Doria, Evangeline Alcaraz, Cecilia Fadriquela, and Marivic Gomez. Angel was a highly respected patriarch in his family, admired by all for his wisdom and guidance. He was a great Father, head of the family, a Leader, communicator and great inspiration to his family and always offering insights into every situation. He was a devoted protector of his family, always ensuring their safety and well-being. Papa Dong loved to travel and was a known foodie with a taste for spicy dishes; he was the life of the party! He likes to joke around with his family and always make sure to spend time with them. He also enjoyed camping with friends and taking leisurely walks with his beloved wife. Papa Dong was also a member of the Rotary Club of Sampaloc Manila and the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) where he achieved significant success at various levels of the organization. In the USA, he was an active member of the BLD Community, a part of ME39 and supported the Treasury Committee of BLD. Papa Dong truly celebrated life and fulfilled his journey as a father, a husband, a grandfather to his beautiful grandchildren, an Uncle and a great friend to his colleagues. We will miss him dearly but find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Visitation will be at Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07003 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18, 2024. All are invited to meet at the funeral home on Friday, July 19, 2024, 8:30 AM for 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St., Nutley, NJ 07109. Cremation will follow at Rosedale Crematory at 12:00 PM.
