Alexis Relato Borlaza

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of, ALEXIS RELATO BORLAZA, better known as “Nonoy” was born on March 22, 1949, in Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines to Nicanor Borlaza of Liliw, Laguna and Francisca Relato of Oas, Albay. He joined our Lord on June 14, 2023, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center due to complications related to his long battle with cancer. 

Alexis will be remembered as an astute banker in the Philippines with a degree in Commerce from the De La Salle University batch ’69. He was respected and admired by his colleagues and clients for his professionalism, integrity and expertise. He  was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife: Helen Gagni, his children: Alexander (Mariemids), Aldric (Jeihan), Antolin (Maryanne Kamille), Ma. Beatriz and Adrian (Treena) as well as his grandchildren: Yvianna Sage, Eulen, Zia, Augustine Rafael, Mikayla Gertrude. He is the loving brother to Cielo Borlaza Alajar, Carmel Borlaza and Carole Borlaza.

 A funeral mass will be held on June 21, 2023, Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm followed by a visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm  at N F Walker of Queens Funeral Home, 8734 80th St., Woodhaven, NY 11421.

Additional Funeral Services will take place in Sucat, Paranaque City, Philippines under the professional care of La Funeraria Paz Sucat Inc. Interment will be at Heritage Memorial Park, Taguig City at a later date.
