Agustin Delariarte Derequito

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Agustin Delariarte Derequito, our loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all whose lives he touched, on April 19, 2021 at the age of 90.

He was born May 17, 1930 in Dumangas, Iloilo, Philippines to the late Querubin Derequito and Felicidad Delariarte. He came to the United States in 2018 and a parishioner of Immaculate Concepcion Roman Catholic Church, Westhampton Beach.

Agustin also known as "Toto Benny" was a tough guy with a gold heart. He loves his family more than himself. He loves to do cockfighting, watch tv, plant vegetables, cooking, listening to music, drawing and playing cards. His grandchildren were absolutely adored and loved by him. He was exceptionally funny and there was never a dull moment with him.

He was the beloved father of Elvis Diancin Derequito (Rosalee Reyes), Josephine Derequito Bernardo (Carlito Bernardo), Francis Diancin Derequito (Carmen Guancia), Agustin Diancin Derequito, Jr. (Cheryll Joy Denuna) and Jeanne Guia Derequito Fernandez (Brian Fernandez); a dear brother of Eugenio Delariarte Derequito; a proud grandfather of Raniela April, Toni Rose, Dana Rae, Leigh Ann, Carl Joseph, Clark John, Charlotte Joy, Carleigh Joie, Franc, Christian Franz, Carmelle Frances, Czar Austin, Bo Cherie, Izac, Mark Philip, Patrick Ryan, Berenice Gayle, Jean Vincent, Jerzelle Ann Mariz, Jaynelle Breanne, Jeannine Braynelle and Janalee Brianne; a great grandfather of Skye Marcel, Jayden Michael, Zoie, Adali Belle, Amari Ruth, Emi, Kason, Mia, Mathias and Emily.

Predeceased by his wife Lea Doregios Diancin Derequito; son, Benshir Diancin Derequito; brother, Ildefonso Delariarte Derequito; sister, Josephine Delariarte Derequito and grandchild, Roselle Joie Derequito.

He will be dearly missed and remain forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Funeral mass will follow at 3:30 pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nutley NJ.

Additional Funeral Service will take place at Dumangas, Iloilo, Philippines under the professional care of Divinagracia-Lujan Memorial Home. Interment will be held at a later date.
